Calling all chocaholics! Want a recipe that will curb those chocolate cravings and won’t leave you with that bitter aftertaste of guilt for derailing your caloric intake? Read on for this delicious and not-so-naughty brownie recipe that is free from refined sugars, dairy, gluten and anything nasty.

Ingredients (makes 12)

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 ½ cups pitted dates
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 teaspoons stevia or ¼ cup
    sweetener of your choice (honey/date syrup/maple syrup/agave)
  • 1 cup cacoa powder
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Directions

  1. In a blender, mix all ingredients.
  2. Pour the mixture into a baking tin greased with coconut oil. Spread out evenly and bake at 180C for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Leave in tin to sit for 5-10 minutes before serving
